Dermal Fillers
Ageing causes various changes to occur in the body, and these changes can affect the appearance of the skin, muscles, and other tissues. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are commonly used in cosmetic procedures to address some of these age-related changes and provide a more youthful appearance.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body that helps retain water and keep the skin hydrated. In cosmetic procedures, it is often used as a temporary filler to add volume to areas that have lost fat and collagen, such as the face. Some common uses of hyaluronic acid fillers include:
Wrinkle reduction: HA fillers can be used to smooth out the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
Volume restoration: Ageing can lead to a loss of volume in certain areas of the face, making it appear sunken or saggy. Fillers can be used to restore volume, particularly in areas like the cheeks and lips.
Contouring: HA fillers can be strategically placed to enhance or define certain facial features, such as cheekbones or jawlines.
It's important to note that the results of hyaluronic acid fillers are temporary, typically lasting several months to over a year, depending on the specific product used and individual factors.
Before considering any cosmetic procedure, it's crucial to consult with a qualified and experienced healthcare professional who can assess your individual needs and provide guidance on the most appropriate treatments for you.
